2005 One Day of Service |
| Return to Activities |
All can agree that Nagatamen hosted a successful One Day of Service. On 5 November 2005, Shenandoah Lodge gathered at the Woodrow Wilson Rehabilitation Center, bringing a record number of 62 Arrowmen. Breakfast was provided as people arrived, beginning the cheerful service at 9:00. Arrowmen cleared brush to make way for picnic areas and removed dead and low-lying braches in order to begin work on a new trail. Old erosion bars were also removed along with brush present along the slopes of the lake. One Day concluded as Arrowmen piled all the rubbish and brush into a manageable pile so that it could be removed later by WWRC. Shenandoah Lodge far exceeded the expectations of the Woodrow Wilson Rehabilitation Center; their administration was very pleased with the cheerful service. This event was an opportune moment for Arrowmen to complete the requirements for the Leadership in Service Award, which will be presented at the 2006 Winter Banquet (this is one of the many reasons to attend Winter Banquet). Thanks go out to the cook crew, who continually impress and to everyone that attended. All in all, One Day was a great opportunity for Shenandoah Lodge to come out and have fun while helping their community. |
