LRLC 2005 Patch

Shenandoah Lodge rocked the town of Fort Defiance on September 16-18. We held our annual Lodge Retreat and Leadership Conference, LRLC, at the Pentecostal Conference Center/ Ol’ Augusta Military Academy. 51 members came out to enjoy a weekend of fellowship and training.

Arrowmen who went attended different training sessions, varying from How to Run a Meeting to Ceremonies and Dance. While many enjoyed these sessions, the real fun started Saturday night when the Double Dare competitions began. Teams competed in physical challenges, like playing Tug of War on a wet Tarp. To finish the Double Dare competition, teams had a race consisting of challenges the teams had to face along the way, like eating three fruit roll ups tied to the ceiling without using their hands. Finishing the race, each team had to have a member eat a chocolate pudding pie so they could read a message on the bottom of the pan.

This LRLC was a blast, and next year we will have an even better time. I would like to thank all of the Arrowmen that led a training session. They played a significant role in making this weekend run as well as it did. If you came to LRLC this year, come back again next year and bring some friends with you! If you did not come, make sure you attend next year, and (as you guessed) bring some friends with you.
